You are all so kind. The wording of my original post definitely should be changed. My actions definitely were not a failure. We all did what we had to do for our dad. My parents are wonderful people who gave me the best childhood I could have hoped for. My mood is much better tonight. A...

My social distancing failure..... We've had a harrowing couple of days. My dad, age 88, is on hospice with heart failure and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. But he is still fairly strong. Mom called me on Thursday afternoon and said that she couldn't wake my dad up. He was asleep in a chair...

Yes, being in a rural area is a huge blessing!! As more and more snow melts we will have many places to go and be away from people. We have food, plenty of toilet paper (luckily I bought two big packs from Sam's Club in January before all this happened), Greg's job is still going, and our...

We have been pretty much doing the same as well. Greg will still be going to work a couple of days a week because his job is considered essential. You can just close the doors on a Naval Nuclear Lab. But he has been working from home a couple of days a week for two weeks. There are no buses...

We do have a big house, big yard and lots of wide open spaces. The governor said that we can go to remote areas as long as everyone stays 6 feet apart. So we will have the chance to get out.

My state has just been issued at Stay at Home order. All non-essential businesses will close. I understand why, but feel so terrible for all the business owners who will be hurt so badly. I'm pretty sure my job will be on hold for the time being. This surely is an interesting time!! Have...

    Migratory Waterfowl in Idaho

I know that this is not a great photo.....But, yesterday we wanted a little break from staying in our house. A local online news source had an article this week about the migratory waterfowl in our area. The normal marshlands where they usually congregate are still frozen. So, some of the...

    Self Quarantine Project

I will admit, I'm going a little stir crazy, although the weather is getting nicer here and things are drying out. I think it's more the stress of the unknown. My little job adding items to Amazon for a local clothing company might be coming to an end soon as sales have been very slow since...

I agree. If I am home or near a sink that is what I will do. But I use hand sanitizer every time I get into the car after being in a public place. Then as soon as I get home, I wash with soap and water.

Thank you all, for the the cleaner suggestions. I did find a partial container of disinfecting wipes in my bathroom cupboard, so I am good for a few days. Luckily I had half of a large bottle of hand sanitizer and several bottles of liquid hand soap. So we are good to go for a while. It was...

I was not able to get to my local store until today. They were out of bread, paper products, canned food, most frozen vegetables and fairly low on meat. They had lots of produce. I have a lot of food storage so I was able to get what I needed. I am almost out of sanitizing wipes and am...

Thank you both. I have an autoimmune disease, so, of course, I am worried. We just cancelled a vacation that we had scheduled with our kids for next week. I work from home, but Greg works at a facility with 1000 people. I'm more worried about my grandson who is on Humira for Juvenile...

The news just keeps getting worse and worse. I was sick all last week with fever and coughing. I don't think I had Coronavirus, but it was bad enough. This is going to hurt so many people in so many ways. Camera gear is definitely not on my list of priorities right now. I hope all of you...
