    D500 or D4s

When shooting sports/events with the D750 i use 12bit lossless(sandisk 95mb/s) and never run into buffer problems. But my longer bursts don't exceed 20/25. If you use 12bit compressed you get a buffer for more than 30 .

Really like XQD. Small/compact/solid. I have 2 from Sony(32GB). I actually used them like "internal" memory(backup mode).

Need help understanding D750 problems (looking at used bodies)

If that one is in great condition and the price suits you,get it. It's really a great camera. In a way it's good that it has not been serviced for the "flare issue"(1st recall). You buy it and them send it to Nikon to get it "fixed".that way you get a free sensor clean, focus adjustments and...

Just to add that even if you buy grey market,Nikon will repair them(issues regarding the 2 recalls).

D 750 Shutter Clicks is spooking horses. Need to turn it off.

Yup,a Blimp should work. A fellow photographer that i know uses a D3s to shoot tv shows/series with it.

    D3S, D750 or D4?

Wouldn't a preset WB or using a exposdisk help in any way?! Regarding exposure try using center weighted average.I'm finding the metering when using CWA much more predictable, almost like my old D70/D200.

    New Service Advisory(Recall) Nikon D750

Sales volume are decreasing every year,so they cut costs. Other manufacturers come out with things like the 15-30 that you have doesn't help. But it's good to see the way Nikon is addressing these recent issues.

    New Service Advisory(Recall) Nikon D750

Nikon issued a new service advisory (aka recall) fpr the Nikon D750: http://nikonrumors.com/2015/07/09/new-nikon-d750-service-advisory-possible-image-shading-from-shutter.aspx/#more-94976 Checked my serial 3004xxx,no need to send it in.

D610 (with that free grip now) VS the D750?

I would get the D750. Well...i did. I can say that under "normal" conditions i really don't care if i'm using the D750 or the D4. That for me says a lot about that " little" camera.
  17. fao91

D610 (with that free grip now) VS the D750?

In video, yes. It bumbs it up to 60fps at 1080p.

Just give me the same 51 points but make them all cross type and sensitive to -3ev like the D750. 20mpx,no problem.

    D3S, D750 or D4?

That was my approach when i was living in Portugal. Here in Rio de Janeiro(Brazil) almost every were you go outside there's a big green "umbrella"(tree) ! So using WB presets gives you a green cast.AWB compensates quite effectively(tint ranging from 30 to 50 to the magenta side in ACR).

    D3S, D750 or D4?

Regarding AWB,it seems better in daylight vs the D4. In artificial light(warm) i prefer the one from the D4, but the D750 is is still superior vs D3/D750. The D4 AWB is greatly improved from my old D3/D700

This was my answer on the other thread: ?? Don't know if this is what you are asking, but this is what i did: I took the v2 Camera profiles (.dcp) from the Df(the ones from the D4s also work) and used the dcpTool to change the camera identifier to D4. Then i put those profiles on the custom...

    LR6/CC Nikon D4s/Df v2 calibration profiles

In case someone's interested. LR6/CC has version 2 profiles under camera calibration. They look a lot like when using Capture NX-D latest picture control option, although the reds seem more prominent. The previous version was/is really bad, compared with CNX-D or jpeg from camera output. Don't...

    LR6 Upgrade vs. CC Subscription?

I've been using LR since version 1. This time around I decided to "rent" it. It cost me 264 Brazilian Reais(1 year),that's less than 85US$. Photoshop is a nice bonus. Another bonus are the D4s/Df v2 profiles, that i converted to use with my D4(the "original" ones are plain awful). All in all I'm...

Used D700 or New D750 Is it worth spending the extra $

"...subjective..." Agree, someone's needs are different. For me dual cards,100% viewfinder,no blooming at iso 3200,faster frame rate(don't like add-on grips),much better live view, (just to name a few) was worth the extra 850€ that i spend "upgrading" from the D700. The only thing lacking is the...

    D3S CLOCK BATTERY

On both my D3 body's(gone now) and my D4,i always check the clock battery every 6 months or so for any acid leaks. The only thing that gets reset is the clock(time/date).

Don't worry. The only thing you will have to do is set the time/date. Your settings are "safe".

Nikon D750 Internal Reflection Issue Reports

Nikon D750 Internal Reflection Issue Reports

Nikon D750 Internal Reflection Issue Reports

Today i tried to provoke the "issue" outside,no lightbulbs. Took 25 shots. All of them with the sun just above the framing. Using live view on 5 of them i could make the "issue" visible on all. Then i tried 20 without live view, just using the viewfinder. Every time changing the angle, trying to...

    D4 issues galore

Bingo !! In extreme low light/low contrast on both the D3/D4 I've found that AF-C works much better. Funny because the D700 didn't behave that way !! In AF-C on those conditions the missing "horse power" was pretty evident. Because I shoot performers on stage and my 3 year old kid ,AF-C is the...

    D4/D3 Major bug/"feature" in auto WB ?!!!

Maybe someone can bring some light on something i stumble upon. Cameras used D4(fw 1.10/1.05/1.03) and D3(fw 2.03) Only happens in auto WB.Jpeg or raw. I take a pic under cool(fluorescent white) lighting, the WB registered is ok. I then take a pic under warm(incandescent) lighting, the WB...

    D4 issues galore

The D4 af is much better than the D3/D700(my take). Don't accept something like " within factory specifications" if it comes back from repair with the same problem.

    D4 issues galore

I shoot sports and concerts mostly,so I live at apertures wider than f3.5. I like to use the 50mm at f1.6. Were my D3 misses at f1.4/f1.8 the D4 hits focus 90% of the times. I'm really happy with it.
