Decided to let go one of my favorites! I've had it for a couple years now, and it's performed great! Believe it or not I've actually used it on an Fx camera, and left it zoomed out to 16mm. Like I said, performs awesome!
16mm @ ƒ4
Comes with lens, hood, and both caps.
The lens is in truly...
Decided to move to different things.

This camera works perfectly, and has the latest firmware installed. There are several scratches on the camera. One on the...
Well, after a year with my x100, I've decided it's not working for what I need it for. I love the cameras dslr level of image quality, but the overall finicky nature and slow operation speed of the camera have me leaving it home more often than not these days.
I'm looking to get into something...
I cleaned the mounts, but they do have a bit of wear on them. But I would think if it was the mounts, taking the lens off and putting back on would generally temporarily fix the issue, and it does not.
I'm more concerned about the possibility of some major component inside the body failing...
Starting several weeks ago, my D700 began refusing to focus on its target. The problem is absolutely repeating itself with all of my lenses, and tested with others, internal focus motor lenses and those without. So I've ruled out a lens issue.
The issue comes in and out getting progressively...
Got a chance to photograph the Lucas Oil Washougal Motocross Nationals this year. Was an absolute blast! Hope you enjoy, excuse the watermarks, these photos haven't been picked up by a company yet although I've been marketing them the best I can, especially the first one.
Looking to sell my classic 105, honestly I don't use it enough!!
Lens is in great shape, glass is clean front and back, spots in the pictures are dust.
Sharp wide open, as expected.
The one fault... the lens won't stop down. If you turn the aperture ring and give the lens a little "tap", it...
Thanks Mike, they don't compare to your stuff!
I was definitely going for that bright over-exposed look on a lot of these, and I know that is a fine line to dance on.
Honestly after taking a second look at the shots you indicated, I'm still happy with the outcome. Would be interested to see if...
Haven't posted some of my moto work in a while! I can't say which or for what brand name, but one of these below will be featured in a half page advertisement in next months Transworld Motocross Magazine. It's been a great year thus far!
All shot with the D700/70-200 VR
These were my first, second and third portrait sessions I've ever done. I'm a sports photographer (motocross in particular) by trade, this was definitely fun and different.
All were shot with the 70-200 VR on the D700, with a remote SB-700 with a GaryFong on it for fill light.
What do you...
I posted the photo with the caption, because I had taken it the day before yesterday. It was a good day, everything went well, etc. The next day didn't go so well... he's getting professional help now.
It's not for everyone, but in general the motocross community and consumer really like the eye-popping, punchy colors, versus a more natural look. I've really been experimenting with my processing this year, trying to find that perfect balance between  and :Curved:
Thanks! I'm a big fan of #1 too.
Check out my newest post, just about the opposite of clay and mud, how about some dry sand?
