I'm working on my computer and am thinking of creating a few partition on a 500 gb drive. I'm thinking of a 50 gb prime part, a 50 gb for photo editing software, 350 gb for digital media, and 50 gb for downloads.
So, how do you partion yours? Any better suggestions?
I'll try to make this short. I'm using PS Elements 7 and ACR 5.4
When using ACR I seem to be missing tabs, I have 3, they are Basic, Detail, Camera Calibration. I thought I had seen somewhere that I should have several more tabs. Can anyone confirm this?
I saw a thread awhile back that discussed the D300 having a problem with too much red tone in some photos. I've searched and cannot find this thread. Does anyone else remember seeing it and know where it might be. Thanks in advance.
All are very nice photos. Number 1 would be my pic. Am I correct in thinking you are referring to Photomatix? And I also assume these were sinle RAW files? I don't believe it will do single .jpg files.
Been awhile since I bought filters, so I have a question. I'm going to be shooting a wedding on the beach. I want to shoot about f4 so with all the bright sun I'm thinking I need a filter to help block some of it out, especially with it bouncing off a white dress. I did'nt think I really wanted...
I was afraid the D1X might not be good enough. Not having used any of the D1(x) or D2(x), I just know how good they are. That is why all opinions are appreciated. This will be mostly used for sports, HS sports, Nascar Racing and dirt track racing.
I've been looking for a second camera body for awhile and was wondering if anyone can answer this question. I see ALOT of pro's using a D1x and D2x as a second body. I know these were "the cameras" to have at the time of it's release, but why are people still buying them when it seems there are...
This is a great thread. I'm looking to replace my backpak(Lowepro Fastpak 250) with a shoulder bag, but BIG. I want all my gear stored in it. I've outgrown the backpak I have and also want to get away from a backpak.
No, I'm not talking about my wife! I'm looking for a new camera bag that will hold all my crap. I'm using a Lowepro Fastpack 250 Backpack. I've decided I want to get away from a backpack and go to something I can get to my gear without having to take it off. Don't want a slingshot either.
I'm looking at moving over to smugmug. Anyone using them...do they have trading cards and/or memory mates? Anything that is sports related?
They are much higher than where I currently am, so I'm looking to be convinced that I should move. The sports stuff is a BIG reason to move if they have...
I'm waiting on the Sigma 24-70 2.8 HSM to come out. Hoping for street price between 600-700. I'm also going to use it for basketball and wrestling. In other words inside gym sports. I've looked at the Tamron, but since I already have a Sigma lens, I think I'll stick with them.
I had a battery left over from the D200, so I use that in the D300 as a spare and use rechargable in the MB-D10 grip. I've shot about 10 basketball games with about 100 shots per game. The camera battery is at 73% and the grip batteries are showing about 1/3 of a charge. I think it is still...
I understand all this about dng. I contacted Adobe support and learned that ACR 4.3.1 will work with PSE6 and the D300 files. I have completed the install and it works fine for now. I see PS CS4 in the horizon. Thanks everybody.
I'm using CS2 and ACR 4.2. Since I got the D300 I can't open the NEF files. Am I going to have to upgrade the CS2, which I don't want to? Is there a workaround. Or am I going to have to find another program to open/work with these files? I also have PS Elements 6 that has the same problem.
I'm looking at the Sigma 24-70 2.8 lens. However they have a new design coming out that is not only an inch shorter but also has HSM. From what I'm seeing, there is going to be about $500 difference in price.
So my question is, for anyone who owns any Sigma non-HSM and HSM, does the HSM make...
Randy I believe the focus point was probably the blue shirt.
Mike I think your combination is correct.
Chris thanks for your suggestion of the corners. I will try that tonight.
Tim and others that noticed the 6400, that was done with Auto ISO. We have very poor lighting and I'm trying...
I've been looking at some BB photos taken with 50 & 85's. When I compare to some of mine, I'm thinking, what am I doing wrong?
Here's the deal. I see at 1.8 they still have alot more DOF than I have. Mine is VERY narrow. Why, I ask? Below is 1 example. The shirt lettering appears in focus...
Usage: English, Scottish, Breton
Pronounced: AL-ən (English) [key]
The meaning of this name is not known for certain, though it possibly means either "little rock" or "handsome" in Breton. Alternatively, it may derive from the tribal name of the Alans, an Iranian...
