Are you buying Fuji S5 ?

No one can convince me the D200 is better at high ISO than the Fuji S5, even my D2HS ( known for good quality at high ISO ) can't compete. but that doesn't mean ofcourse you can't make excellent pictures with the D200 in low light situations . . .

Are you buying Fuji S5 ?

Pictures look good indeed . . . but I notice there's more the enough light, even indoors, try this with the D200 in a very low light situation. Don't tell me you didn't use software to remove the noise . . .

Are you buying Fuji S5 ?

Well, not sure about that, it seems the 12 milj pixels of the S5 are interpolated . . . but I don't see any difference compared to the D2XS though.

Your thoughts on 80-400VR? pros and cons

Sigma 50-500 : very good lens for the price! Sigma 170-500 and Tamron 200-500, don't buy, they are really soft at 500 mm.

Are you buying Fuji S5 ?

    Dave, my D2XS was in repair, the Fuji S5 Pro wasn't available yet . . . and I could buy a D2HS ( 6 months old ) for half the price . . . . so I got a wonderful excuse I could use to explain my wife why I needed that D2HS . . .

Are you buying Fuji S5 ?

I used the D200, sold it again, not happy about it, I even preferred the Fuji S3. Now I bought the S5 and I shoot volleyball with it, indoors, no problem at all, at 1600 ISO and higher, try that with the D200  , Shooting 25 jpg's is no problem, S5 buffer is big enough now. Although you...

    60mm vs. 105mm Micro

I had both lenses and sold them again to buy the Sigma 180 mm F3,5 DG EX APO MACRO IF HSM. I can't explain why I didn't like the 60 and the 105 mm, they just didn't "feel" good in my hands, the Sigma 180 though, I loved it from the first time I had in on my camera, it had the right "feel" for...

what's the best buy for Party-photograph?

I know this is a fantastic lens, but my budget doesn't allow it now, I'm looking at the Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 as a replacement for that Nikkor 17-55. Not a real toplens but probably good enough to do the job I want :)

what's the best buy for Party-photograph?

I already have a nikkor AF 50 f/1.8 and a Tokina 12-24 f/4. The nikkor 50 f/1.8 I can probably use without a flash but to get 2 or 3 people all together on the picture, dancing on the dancefloor I have to increase my shooting distance, and maybe there's not enough place to do that, I guess the...

I don't know what lens to choose

OK, I have a problem, I'm looking for a macro lens, Sigma 180 F/3.5 or Sigma 150 F/2.8 Choice is difficult, 180 maybe more handy.....larger distance to object, but for macro, a F/2.8 lens is useful too I guess Price difference too, there's a difference of $124, the 180 is more expensive...

    Sigma 70-200 2.8 contra Nikkor 80-200 2.8

I'm interested in both lenses but I really don't know what's the best choice. Ofcourse, the Nikkor is more expensive but is it worth the extra $250 ? Pro's and Contra's are more then welcome  Thanks in advance

    About a sigma lens

Johan, take a look here, most of the lenses I buy come from here : http://www.cornevaniperen.nl/proddetail.php?prod=nik033&cat=122 Sometimes SD Card is cheaper and sometimes Corne is cheaper, you just have to pay attention

    300mm f4 vs 80-400VR

I just bought the Nikkor 80-400 today so I can't say much about it yet. I noticed though it's a bit soft at 400mm but not to much to make great shots. One thing there you should know, it's not a fast lens and not for fast indoor actions. Outside, it's a dream to work with and the VR of course is...

    Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC

Hey Pa, I don't have any direct comparisons with the 18-70 in their common range, if I have the time and if you let me know what you exactly want to be tested, just give me PM and I'll try to do it before my 18-70 is sold....yep, I'm selling it....and I'm going probably for the Tokina 12-24...
