I've been playing around with actions that I learned on tutorials from here. These are what I came up with. Debating which one I prefer. Although the first one is very subtle, I kind of like the pop of the second one.
hey guys, i'm taking a market research class and i had to make a short survey. i hope that you could take it and help me out, i greatly appreciate it. it's about hybrid vehicles.
thanks in advance.
well i actually tried using flourescent white balance as well. but i'm not sure if i remember if it was alright or not. wish i did. thanks for the input though, i just hope something isn't wrong with my camera.
my friend and i went to city hall to take night shots. the only lamppost that had greenish tint cause of aging is the right one. however, the left seemed to emit a greenish aura as well. my friends D80 showed no signs of any green whatsoever, it might not have been on either as well. however...

so over spring break, my friends wanted to go to the aquarium of the pacific and huntington library. thought it was a good time to bring my camera. some pictures from the aquarium are up, but i didn't really take much and it was a bit difficult so some are hard to edit. i will probably put up...
It's more like a theater, a convention like place. It's at University of California: Irvine, called Bren Events center. You might be able to see pictures from google. Or look up videos on a dance competition called 'Vibe'. I feel that since I will literally be right in front of the stage...
hmmm.. then I might get the 70-200 f/2.8. but I heard there was a rumor of a slight upgrade for that lens. but I will be staying right in front of the stage typically.
I hope my 17-55 f/2.8 will be good enough. I might just get the 50 f/1.8 too and another lens if I needed.
do you think the...
i didn't know where to put it, so i felt that this was maybe the most appropriate. if there is a better place, please feel free to move.
i will be shooting a dance competition in about a month. i can shoot right in front of the stage. i was just wondering if there are any suggestions as...
^^ I appreciate the feedback. Hopefully that is the case.

Alright well I purchased my 17-55 from Normans and my D200 from Adorama. Has anyone had experience w/ Adorama? Yes I know and read reviews from bizrate/resellerratings, but I also want to know how come it takes them awhile to process stuff? Like I ordered my camera on Tuesday around 11 PST...
So is anyone else able to give their opinion about a particular lens? In particular, the 12-24 & Fisheye opinion would be good.
Is the Nikon 12-24 really worth the extra $400? I heard the Tokina has slightly better build. And for the fisheye, is the Tokina better because it is able to zoom...
Hahah well just in the mist of everything, I went to pricegrabber.com and looked up the lens. And they had the lens in stock at a few places such as Norman Camera. So I JUST literally put in the order and bought it. I cannot wait to get it.
I was JUST about take the hit and purchase the 17-55 from Beach Camera even if it is about $100 more. But now they don't have it listed online! I wanted to purchase everything all at once, my new camera, two new lenses, flash, and filter. This is making me impatient! Also kind of makes me...
I too am in this situation! I wanted to get this so badly, and when I finally got the money, I can't seem to find it! However, I did talk with a representative from B&H and they said they should get a shipment in 1 to 2 weeks. However, they said that it was a maybe.
Ahhh Thanks for the advice. Is there any particular setting you put it on?
It does seem more like a logical fit, but it didn't cross my mind I suppose. I'll look into it. Somehow I feel like I might get Nikon...
Unfortunately, I don't live in New York. So unless I talk on the phone then that's different. But maybe I'll order from them if they do have it. It seems reasonable enough and good. Price is around everywhere else I looked and just add shipping, which many places do. Thanks!
Alright, I'm planning on purchasing these lenses. Mainly the first two listed are priority for a convention I'm going to.
Nikkor 17-55 f/2.8
Nikkor 12-24 f/4 (Tokina)
Nikkor 10.5 Fisheye (Tokina)
Nikkor 28-70 f/2.8
Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8
Still need to buy my D200, SB-600, and Hoya or...
Well I really, REALLY want this lens, and so far I checked pricegrabber and they gave me a site called Norman Camera. Anyone know if it's trustworthy?
And also, I did find it at Beachcamera but it's 100 more.
I didn't want to make a new thread since this is relevant to my question, I hope the thread starter won't mind..
Is there anyone w/ experience on using the Sigma 10-20, Tokina 12-24 and Nikkor 12-24? I would like to know what they think and such. Money isn't an issue for me but as far as I've...
