It was interesting, and I'm glad to see solid reports of performance in conditions like that coupled with user reports like we see here at the Cafe.
I'm currently waiting to see if there's any confirmation Nikon will do a 24-85/4S or 24-120/4S. Most likely my Z6 will replace my Fuji stuff for...
35 - as a bit of a geek, I find myself liking these photos a lot. Nice detail, neat machines. :)
36 - set has a wonderful, but foreboding atmosphere. (Sorry Klaus, my warped sense of humor went there. Hope the bad weather wasn't too bad there. :bag:)
36 (Cheat Week)
Busy with appointments and ramping up visits to the torture palace fitness place, so I didn't get out as much as I wanted for photos. Most of what I got was more "meh" than usual, a few hummingbird shots were a bit better. Taken with the K-1 and DA*300/4, heavy crop.
Ack. Forgot I did gear shots yesterday, too late to go out for anything. Oops.
Harbinger. Of the 50/50. And possibly O'fest. Z6, Voigtlander Vintage Line 50/3.5 Heliar. X100F, available light, in-camera jpg settings with some spot cleaning, re-sized for web.
Still working on in-camera settings with the X100F. The Ektachrome sim from last week isn't one I'm going to like for landscapes, colors are just a bit to green-ish and vibrant with those settings. So working on another for landscapes. These two are based on the Classic Chrome sim, mostly...
Not sure I'm going out for photos today. So here's a shot of my Pentax stuff (K-1, DA*300/4) I've been using this week for hummingbirds. In-camera jpg, not quite SOOC as I did some spot cleanup due to a couple pieces of large fibrous dust/ lint that fell on the camera after cleaning it for the...
Thanks Ron. Your stomping grounds are photogenic as well. Always enjoyed our times in the UK, but had little time for sightseeing.
One of the things I love about photo sites and the internet - get to see places I've been through other's eyes, as well as places I've never been and probably...
Yeah, they had XV in the name here as well - XV Crosstrek or some such. Dropped the XV in 2016 IIRC. Works great as an all-weather basic transport. A little small and under powered for me at times, and a bit lacking for some of the spots I used to like to roam.
Local wildlife viewing platform at the waste treatment water reclamation area. For viewing birds mainly. And of course it is open the hours birds are least active. o_O
One of the few spots I've found to date with mostly clear views of the mountains to the east. Day 3 shot from the cover on...
XF 35/2 on the X-H1 (no 35 for the Z6 yet). The 35mm FOV from my X199F is in the bucket. Still not sure if this is a lens meme or a FOV meme.
16:9 crop of the original, processed to taste on a base of in-camera Acros film sim.
Continuing to work on getting some in-camera settings I really like, for those rare times I nail exposure and get something close to a composed image. Currently using a Velvia sim mod that is supposed to come close to emulating Ektachrome100SW, and an Acros mod that is similar to...
Another week of "meh".
Shoes. No longer clean up easily, and I still wear the heel cups out before the rest of the shoe. Need to start breaking in the next pair.
X100F, Acros with customizations, SOOC except for 1:1 crop and resize for web. Still trying to makes some tweaks to several...
"Cheat" week. Got a bit too energetic a couple of days and it really wiped me out for the rest of the week. So, images from another challenge I'm trying to continue participating. Both with the X-H1 and 90/2.
