    Anyone Use SpiderHolster Products?

No; That adapter just adds height & weight to the SpiderPlate. They could easily redesign the basic SpiderPlate to incorporate the Arca-Swiss grooves into the basic design without adding the bulkyness of the add-on adapter.

Help. Need a tripod. Not a big budget

    I totally agree with GH41. I started with a Bogen 3021 tripod with a 3047 head & quick release plate. Then I wanted a light-weight tripod & got a Manfrotto 718SHB with a different quick-release plate. Then came a Bogen Monopod with a 3rd QR configuration. I finally changed over to a RRS L-Plate...

Looking for a handy carry strap

I’d like to see Spider modify their design a bit to incorporate an ARCA-type mount and hand strap slot (like the RRS L-bracket) in their Spider Plate. That would make an awesome carry system.

    Anyone going strapless?

I've been using the Nikon AH-4 leather hand grip since the early 90's when I got my N90. When I purchased my D200 in 2006, I also got an RRS L-bracket and attached the AH-4. As a result, I haven't felt the need for a neck strap for the past 20 years.

Kata Hybrids Very different Bag (s)

I've been using an M-Rock combination using the "Grand Canyon" bag as a building block. If I need a flash, I will add...

What is your oldest lens ?

The oldest lenses I still own are a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 & a 35mm f/2 that I bought in Hong Kong in 1966 during a WestPac cruise on the USS Constellation. This was part of a deal when I purchased my first Nikon camera, a Nikon F body with a Photomic T viewfinder. I traded in a 200mm f/4 lens I got...

How does a Panasonic ZS-3 compare to the LX-3

I've been searching for a good P&S camera to supplement my D200, but the G10 is too big and the LX-3 long end is not enough. I just read DPReview's summary of a Compact Superzoom Camera test with included the ZS-1 & ZS-3 but I have no way to compare it to the LX-3. Has anyone evaluated both...

I'm COMPLETELY RUINED - picked up a 17-55DX (lots of pics)

When I bought my D200 & 18-200mm lens, I thought I really didn't need my 35-70mm lens, so I gave it to my son. After a fashion, I really missed the quality of it, but do to the 1.5X crop factor I decided to replace it with a 17-55mm lens. It's now on my camera most of the time...it's an...

Red eye with a SB-400: newbie needs help.

I went for a flash bracket (Really Right Stuff WPF-1) to solve the problem. It's a bit pricey but I shopped around for a loong time and recently found a deal on a major auction site for $127 including the Flash Mount (FA-CS2). The bracket is small, lightweight and very well designed/built.
