Kiron 70-210/4, worthy alternative to Vivitar Series 1 70-210. The zoom lock is a distinctive feature. 13 elements in 9 groups, 8 blades. Close focus 1:4 at 210mm. close focus distance 45". Very sharp throughout the range with superb color, which has certain pop to it. Bokeh is smooth and...

    Non-Nikon manual focus lenses - Part I

Vivitar 200/3.5. If one enjoyed using 135/2.8, this lens made by Komine would be equally satisfying. Heavy focus throw is awesome and a joy to use. It doesn't focus closer than 6"Very sharp at f/4. 8 blades and nice bokeh.

  34. ccroy

    Non-Nikon manual focus lenses - Part I

Bart, I fail to comprehend the reasons, as I posted all the three posts in the same manner. While you are able to see the post about Helios, why the pictures in the other two are not able to be seen by you

    Non-Nikon manual focus lenses - Part I

Helios 44M - Sheer joy to use this ancient lens, with all the headaches of dealing with flimsy lens adapters. Colors come out like pastel. And of course the now famous swirly bokeh, which needs some practice to obtain.
