I don't collect them, I have been through a number of them and settled on the following: - Maxpedition Jumbo Fatboy for a daily carry, camera/lens, extra battery/cards and room for my SB-800 or an extra lens but generally not both. - Timbuk2 Messenger Bag, Large with Computer Sleeve...

Really sorry to hear this. I am regularly drafted (by the school) to take photos for my kids school events...including performances where I'm one of two authorized photographers. It's good fun. Hate to think of school without it.

I run a retail business, and I have a disclaimer on my website stating that mistakes sometimes happen and that we will not honor the price on an item if it was erroneously marked. That said, the meat guy could have said "Sorry, that was a mistake, the real price is $x.xx, I need to re-mark...

I've used Craigslist for buying and selling and had zero problems. I like dealing local and paying/accepting cash. ebay is a crap shoot for selling, buyers there tend to be bargain hunters...that said, I've had good luck buying on ebay.

I believe the problem is with the zoom, teleconverters are designed for primes. I was looking into this for my zoom as well.

I take my camera with me everywhere, usually with the 24-70 on it. I have it in a Timbuk2 messenger bag, with extra battery, mem cards and flash, and my 50mm 1.4. Depending on where I'm going, I'll toss extra lenses in. I'm used to carrying the bag everywhere, so it's habit now. I NEVER leave it...

I went to B&H when in NY in November...it was a fun experience! :)

Update to say I printed an 8x10 for the neighbors and they were thrilled with it. :) Thanks again Bolts for the suggestion! Now the little bird has a mate and they have a nest in the ivy...I'll try to get some more pics, but this will be hard to top IMO.

Took this yesterday while roaming around the warehouse district in SF... Need some more time to explore a bit more, and watch the trains to see what passes through. Hopefully more than just CalTrain. Will keep you posted. :)

Thanks very much, we had a lot of fun that day! My friend was out from NY for the weekend, and we always go out shooting when we get together. We went to dinner after these shots, then drove around and ended on Treasure Island where we shot the Bay Bridge. Yea, on a sidestreet up there somewhere.

This was taken from the 6th floor of the hotel across the tracks...just happened to look out and see the Amtrack sitting there, and thought it made for a good photo. Too bad the sky is so boring. Comments are always welcomce. :)
