I'm about to travel to Japan next month. I'd to ask anyone who is living in Japan or had visited Japan. Are lenses cheaper in Japan than in the US? Any recommended retailers? I'm thinking of picking up a few Zeiss and Nikkor. I'm visiting Osaka and Tokyo.

I'm one of his subcribers, I'm very surprised to see how well D3x performs. At first, I thought, ah it's just another Sony sensor... But then... Looks like there is a strong reason why I should get a D3x. :D I don't shoot at ISO higher than 3200. And I need ISO 50 :)

Yes, it looks good at f/1.4, thanks to the aspherical element. Mine is perfect, I got the Voig 2 months ago when the metering problem was already fixed. I heard the first batch had metering problem so I waited until the issue was fixed. I got mine from Camera Quest.

Most of these shots were taken from inside my car, thru my car windshield (my car windshield is very clean, treated with Aquapel every other week :biggrin:) Taken w/ Nikon D300 & Nikkor 12-24 f/4.

I've tried a regular filter on 17-55, it worked fine, no vignetting at all. Keep in mind that B+W slim filters do not have front filter thread, so you can't stack filters and you'll have to use the supplied B+W filter cover to cover the filter.

Everytime I want to store the lenses for the day. I blow the dust with Giottos Rocket blower or use a liquid lens cleaner and wipe it out with microfiber cloth.
