D50 works fine with them, if you can find a used one, they are always snatched up real quick!

I know what you mean about older eyes, I just get as close as I think looks like in focus and if I glance at the confirmation light and its on then I know I am close. example is the red tail hawk shot above, I missed the focus on the bird and its more on the branches but I liked the shot anyway...

aside from here, KEH and FM forums, POTN for sale forums has surprising amount of Nikon gear put up for sale too, apparently lots of people are using Nikkors with adapters on Canon bodies, you do see a few good deals on bodies once in while too.

I did it differently yesterday and today, using only manual focus lenses, it was challenging and fun! Really hard to get them in focus flying but if they were a little still like these shots, it was no problem! The cold dreary day did not help any though, I am sooo ready for spring and summer...

Nice shot Chris! I was there this past summer at the north rim bright angel point, and it was spectacular, though we only got to spend a day, it was well worth the trip, definitely going to make a return trip!
