#1 Gaggle of Geese

Discussion in 'Birds' started by Desert Rat, Jan 4, 2006.

  1. Drum Roll please... Ok enough of that crap. here are a few of those shots from my trip last week to AZ.

While on my way to Phoenix last week i stopped off in Indio, CA at a constructed wetlands area near a waste water treatment plant. While there I found a few red leg stilts, ducks, herons, and a Vermillion Flycatcher.

But the best part was in the morning a few flights of Canadian Geese landed in some of the retention basins in the plant.

Here are two of those Shots.. Many more to follow

  2. Eric,
Nice formation and I see where you Zoomed out to shorter focals to get the group. with no other features in the picture it does not really command my interest tho. hope that makes sense and does not offend.

    I like them :>))

Seems all the wings are in the same position. That is rather unique.

    Good shots.
  4. I like them also. A better crop may have made more interest however. You know, groups of three, diagonal lines, etc.

Just fooling with definitions on my part, don't take me seriously, I believe this is not a gaggle, but a skein.
