    I am always on the lookout for cool backdrop substitutes. I saw this curtain on sale for $10 and picked it up. Used clothes pegs to hang it behind her. Here is a shot of my daughter with it. It doesn't have to cost a fortune to serve its purpose, right?

    Great color, but I see a darker shadow on the lower right - is that because it was flapping?

    This was shot with a single light source and I did not light the background at all. It was just a shadow; i guess i could have fixed that in pp but this is how it came out of the camera.

    Not entirely sure what kind of fabric. It feels like a fake suede or something. As long as it doesn't reflect light it can be used. Hope that helps.
