Some shots of the first few games of the season....ending in rain. They were able to play through most of it though.

Nikon D700/Sigma 120-300/some with 1.4x - Exif intact

This is just a fantastic set of images...well done!

I've been looking at that 120-300 2.8 for some time..any thoughts to share?

It's an interesting lens, I had some trouble with it tracking/staying locked when I first got it, but I changed the tracking settings to "long" (menu a4 on the D700) and it tracks and stays locks much better now. I did get a good copy though, it is very sharp even with the 1.4x. A friend of mine got one for his canon and it was very soft.

I do like the versatity of the lens, but I do find the bokeh can be a bit harsh sometimes compared to a Nikon's 300mm 2.8.

I know they just released a new version with OS, but I don't know if they've improved anything else on it.

I'm happy with it though...it does what I need it to do :)

These looks great. Awesomone composition. Bokeh looks good too!

I've seen a few people that use this lens in this forum and all the results seem very positive.

Well done!
