Recieved my 14-24 last week and have been using it quite a bit, comparing it to my 12-24 Nikkor... I have really enjoyed the 12-24, I have shot many covers using this lens...but... The 14-24 takes it to another level. I am quite pleased by the results on a D300 (will be purchasing D700 or other Nikon full frame in a year or so as I also have the 28-70 f 2.8 and 70-200 Nikkors.
So if you are out there on the fence about this lens, my personal advice is take the leap, you will be glad you did. Regards Lance

  5. Mine should be here by the end of the week. I ordered it at the end of last week, but it won't leave the retailer until this evening. I can't wait!

Lance, Tornio is about 650km's north from here. I've actually lived there for seven years  Nice little town and good studying opportunities, Swedish border just in front of it.

Thank you, I'm using it on my D300, but D700 surely looks quite tempting to my eye

  10. I'm sure I would love it, especially on the D3. But the weight is what still keeps me from getting it.

    Cheers

Please do! This lens is a ways down on my list to buy but I enjoy seeing what others are capable of capturing with this lens.

  14. It is one heavy puppy; especially with all that leaded glass on the front of the lens.

Will be shooting the interiors of a residence tomorrow for a local Home & Garden publication . First use of my 14-24 in that capacity (one of the reasons I purchased this lens). Will try to do a comparison of the 12-24 Nikkor and this lens on a D300 and post them later this week. So far in general day to day shooting of no real importance I do see a marked diffrence between these two lenses with the 14-24 exhibiting great contrast and sharpness. Examples hopefully by Friday.
