worried about perspective distortion? don't be. Use it to your advantage.

I also wanted to check out how much the barrel and pincushion distortion affects real life images and not some chart.

I didn't apply any barrel or pincushion correction. Yet unless you use a ruler it is amazing how little of that type of distortion there is even at the widest end. I did crop some of these to get rid of distracting elements.

All great shots! The guy in #1 looks weird--or is he supper svelte?

ha ha. don't know for sure if he was that long. I was actually trying to make my way to the shade since it was 90 and I was roasting that I failed to noticed him.

holy crap that thing has a wide field of view.

yes it does!

Love the 4th shot! Note to self...use mine more LOL

go for it!

Did you test it at every focal length? Just wondering.

Yes. But I set out to caputure huge so it was mostly at 14 all the time.

Wow, they're great shots, how'd you get the clouds to move like that? I saw them, they did move :)

 on the subject of clouds I'm amazed at the range of a RAW file from the D700. The sky was white on all of these when I imported it and somehow there was still data there to pull plenty of blue. raw ftw.

great shots!!!

thnks.

wow, I like the last one.

I just hate the turists walking around...oh wait I was one

#4 is great -- almost gave me vertigo. Thanks for posting.

thanks.

Hi LSSE.

Really great shots. The 14-24 i doing a fantastic job as well. You can't expect any lens to have no distortion when shooting up a high building.

You made the best out of it. Thanks for sharing ...
