Does anyone use this lens with their DX bodies? I have my first wedding that i'm going to shoot in July but was thinking of using the follow for the ceremony:

D7000 + 14-24mm (21-36mm equiv)
D3 + 70-200mm VR2

21-36mm seems to be a good focal range for photojournalism type shots, but anyone have experience with this combo? pros/cons?

Thanks,
JR

I have shot several weddings and never found a need for my 14-24... I "could" have used" it, but found my 28-70 did what i needed to... The 14-24 is "ok" for people shots, but not great... Granted, it would do well for a nice church...

Sorry, I'm rambling!

Used it on many weddings. Awesome if you don't mind the size. Perfect on dx too. My favorite uwa lens.

I use it on a D2X, mostly for landscapes, and it is fantastic. If the focal length works for you the only possible disadvantages would be it is heavy and the front element is pretty exposed so you'd have to be careful nothing happens to it. If you can live with that I don't think you get any better optics.
