18-200 pictures from Shamong NJ

I purchased a D300 (my first Nikon) at the end of May with the 18-200 "kit lens" intending to purchase additional glass as soon as I felt comfortable in the Nikon environment. Since then I have taken a whole lot of pictures, mostly in Shamong New Jersey where I live. Here's a few of them all shot with the 18-200.

I am very pleased with the D300 and enjoy the range of the 18-200. Lusting however for pro-glass.

They Look really good, could you make em a bit bigger? they are showing quite small.

I go through Atco all the time. The pictures would look a lot better, bigger. I will be happy when I get this posting correct

Greetings from New Jersey! Looks like some nice shots, but as mentioned, it'd be nice if they were a bit larger.

Steve, where is Shamong, NJ. I am in Old Bridge/ Exit 120 on the Garden State Parkway. I really like the looks of these pics. I think I would like to visit Shamong

Shamong and Tabernacle are the next two towns East of Medford. Shamong Is 50% Wharton tract. Behind the ranger station across from Atsion Lake( a state park) are the remains of the old town of Atsion. Shamong is also known as Indian Mills so named because it was a Brotherton Indian reservation ( They are trying to get it back to build a casino). My home is in the pinelands protected area (built before the establishment of the Pinelands) and is visited daily by deer, opossums, raccoons etc. Twin fawns were born in my backyard. My inability to get good pictures of them in the dappled shade was one of the reasons I bought the D300. Attached is a photo of the twins taken with my Olympus E-500 that is the best I can do with a shot taken 100 feet away thru a dirty screen.

Steve, give us a link to your gallery, and someone can show you how to post larger pictures. Otherwise, just go to view the image larger, and copy the link from the site.

The shots look really nice, but it's rather difficult to give any reasonable comments with this size.

I had re-posted slightly larger pictures under another thread shortly after this post but they were still smallish. I have just started posting pictures to Flickr and I am still familiarizing myself with the idiosyncrasies of the site.
