Any one know where one of these is for sale right now?? Looking for one...
Just saw one on the B&H site with USA warrenty.
Sure. If you want to pay over list price (like I did), you can find it in stock at Adorama.com.
Really? I looked at B&H first and it showed backordered for US and Grey market.
Yup... back ordered.
Ken Rockwell has flagged it as well, so it may go quickly!
Action Camera had 14 as of 5/25/07 for $749. or $759.
ask for Jason
Yup... not paying that much. I will have my friend put his name on the Robert's list.
Your best bet would probably be a local camera store. Some will allow you to reserve a lens, and will call you when it comes in. Worst comes to worse, check what day that their shipments come in and check back often.
Bunch of them for sale on craigslist in my area. Some are even willing to ship.
Check it out:
Also, my brother just ordered one from Circuitcity.com. He called them and they had it in stock. If you are a AAA member you can get another 10% using a coupon you can get from their site. Couple that with 18 months 0% interest, I'm not sure you can beat that.
Hope this helps.
One more just posted fro $750
That's how I got mine. Reserved a copy at a local store and had it in my hands about a week later. I paid the normal retail price as well, I believe it was $750.
Still dont get this as they are available from every camera shop in Dublin now.
Why is there still a shortage ?
Sparkey - do you have this lens mate ? Dont tell the wife, but it may just be my next purchase
Perhaps Nikon has realized if they do not take care of their dealer network first, that they will have HUGE issues into the future. So, the local dealer, puts his order in, bam, gets the lens. Overflow is going to -etailers. Maybe?
my shop has several... i believe 789+tax... (could be 759?)
Adorama has them in stock now. www.adorama.com. Still don't know how I feel about a plasticky superzoom though, I'll have to see one in person first.
if you've held the 18-135 i believe they have a similar feel, (little heavier though)
