Wow! Very nice indeed. How close were you from the puppy to puree the background this much, in the first image? The minimum focus distance is probably a bit smaller on the AF version that you have compared to mine MF version...
I think you are just trying to keep me from getting rid of mine
Great shots, Nuteshack. The 180/2.8 has got to be the greatest pooch lens going, eh?!
Grass that green cannot be found in Wyoming... and given the current drought conditions I may have to re-landscape with sagebrush
lol Dan ...na, just want u to have one you're satisfied with so u can enjoy this marvelous offering of a lens as much as i am:smile:
I think this sentence of yours hits it on the head. You can shoot boring subjects all day long, but until you have something good to shoot that is interesting and shows what the lens can do you really won't be satisfied. I bought the 70-300 VR lens (was and still am considering the 180 f/2.8) and was shooting just random things and wasn't really blown away. I went to an air show this weekend and used only the 70-300 VR and I am amazed at how great the pictures are that I get from it compared to my old Sigma 70-300.I am going to keep this lens and do some real shooting instead of shooting tree stumps and leaves !
Wow, is that a Northwest lawn or what? Both are fantastic, but the first is a classic. I'd love to see some side-by-side 180 and 70/80-200, but I might miss my old 180 too much...
Lovely creamer indeed, and no processed corn syrup involved!
