I can already tell this Macro stuff is not going to be easy... but i think this one came out ok... this spider was hanging from its web in mid air so made for a nice back ground... let me know what you think... taken with my new Sigma 150 2.8 ex dg macro.. think i like it...

    Kit lens
    Sigma's 70-200 and 105 macro

Very nice Tim. The only problem with shots like this is that the subject tends to move back and forth as the wind blows, making it hard to get a good focus lock. Looks like you handled it pretty well though.

This is a lot of fun, huh? 8)
  3. Nice capture Tim!

As Frank said, you have done a good job with the focus. Hand held?

  4. This is very good for a hand held shot Tim.

yes it was handheld.. but it was close to the house so the wind did not effect it... was out this morning in the garden trying to get some shots .. but the wind is too much... this is going to take lots of practice to get good macros...
