1st stitched Pano

Discussion in 'Landscapes, Architecture, and Cityscapes' started by williadw, Aug 11, 2008.

  1. I was riding with my family near Charlottesville, VA on I-64 and decided to stop at one of the scenic lookouts on Afton Mountain. I had my Nikon, but no tripod, so this was all hand-held and stitched with PTGui.

Any suggestions ( other than use a tripod. haha ) are needed. I am new at this and only guessed at using this software. I am not a fan of reading instructions..

Great shot, really motivates me to go take a few, just need to find a good subject.

  5. You have given me the courage to try my own...Thanks (I think)

  6. Next time....

The next time, I will bring my tripod.

I cropped more on the left side of the original image as it seemed to get a bit 'stretchy' toward the left end. Maybe the control points there were off a bit.

I think I did learn to add more shots to the height of the image the next time. It was a bit longer and not as much height as I thought it would be.

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone.
