1st Try at Indoor Portraits

    Not bad for first try. I assume these are natural light? My only comments are that on #1 the arm looks a bit unnatural...and the eyes look slightly out of focus on the rest of the shots. Looks like the focus is somewhere on the face. Try bumping up the fstop.

    I am actually using one SB800 and one SB600 with 40 degrees grid softboxes.

    I will take more note of that as I always seem to be rushing into my shoots. Will having a tripod help?

    Will having a larger fstop cause my photos to be underexposed because I am only using speedlights?
     
  4. You will just have to bump up the power of the speedlights. I usually stay at f/7 or f/10 for studio shots using mine.

    Do you use manual or TTL for the speedlights?

    I am on TTL for this set of photos.
     
  6. It depends, but usually TTL works just fine.
