200-400 VR Shots --Please!

Why worry about "best shots" ? Here's one from tonight about five minutes walk from my hotel in west Texas, using the 200-400mm with a TC17EII, wide-open aperture, handheld, no crop, no fancy PP, just a quick shot.

Get that appetite whetted for shooting with the 200-400mm and think AAA : Anytime, Anywhere, Anyway... :wink:

What's that Gimbal-style head you are using on that tripod?
Its a Manfrotto head, I forget the model number now but it was only about £120 so not very expensive (but not too light either!!)

That camo dress looks pretty good.

Richard --What were you shooting -- looks like the bottom of a septic!

That was on a beach, not a sunbathing type beach though lol. I was shooting wild seals. You can just make out an OOF wave along the shoreline in the background.

Here is your lens in Alaska where it saw great duty and got its war wounds, in the summer of 1985. I believe it is the third from the right...
