Yves, that is amazing considering the lighting. I'm getting better at properly judging the exposures, but I could never hand hold something like this.

It is easier to do than to say I guess plus I had VR on ... :oops:

Hi Yves, really like the composition and how you pulled that out! very nicely done.............have to try that spot metering!! LOL

Nicely done

So, with this Spot metering, did you spot on the bright parts of the bird? It's really exposed perfectly. Love the overall composition too.

Yes Steven, I did point at the brightest part, memorised the exposure, set manual exposure, recomposed and overexposed + 0.3 EV the scene.

Niiice, very sharp for a big heavy lens handheld, very nice lighting also for being in the shade. You lads with the big 300 2.8's make me jealous....
