It shouldn't be too much longer, but as much as I hate to admit it, we need some much colder weather. I will be keeping in touch with you, Tim, Jason and Glenn...start stashing away money for fuel and hotel rooms!!!

Is the river frozen yet? Anybody here live near L&D 14 or 18?

I was out at L&D 14 yesterday, the river is not frozen and the birds are very scattered. Going to be cold this week, perhaps that will get things started.

It's a two hour drive west for me. Drove out there last weekend, (got a speeding ticket on the way), and saw a little activity on the Iowa side of the river but mostly in people's back yards across hwy 67.

Here's a shot of the dam I took on 12-12-09 which was a rather gloomy day.
