That's a very simplistic lure. Is it effective? I don't fish salt water so I'm unfamiliar with the common techniques and lures.

I haven't had much time to fish lately. I enjoy making them. Here are a few more with fancier paint jobs and a couple hand carved.

Very nice, Jaques. I see a very slight lens flare in lower right .... so this is all natural early morning grey? Striking, whether natural or not.

Very nice, Jaques. I see a very slight lens flare in lower right .... so this is all natural early morning grey? Striking, whether natural or not.

One of our backyard lights was on because the sensor was in the shade.

Day 11. Not real fog. It's so humid outside that my lens fogged over. This was after wiping it 4 times.

I would target striped bass or bluefish with these.
