Nice chunk of glass, love mine. Great starting photo. Sharp in spite the rep this lens has.
John, Thanks for your comment. I have always liked working with this lens. When I am after the "dreamy" look, it goes full open. When I want sharp, I go to 2.8 to 5.6. Superb image quality for such an old design. Guess that's why Nikon still makes them.
Fitting shot for the first full month of fall.
I am keeping 4 Nikon MF lenses - 35 1.4, 50 1.2, 55 3.5 and 105 2.5
You are off to a great start. It will be fun to see what you do with that lens.
Great start, simple single leaf... now you just have to do two, then three, then...

Gordon, Thanks. sometimes just looking for the simple things serves up good compositions. I absolutely love the color rendering of this 50 with the Z6.
Paul, 1 leaf, 2 leaf, 3...4...5...then out comes the rake! Narrow DoF is a challenge but fun. Easy for me to say on day 1, let's see how it goes by mid-month.
