Another sad day...at least the birds have a place to rest.

I am envious of your location so close to the river. Lovely vista. Seems to be windy all over as Zeta blew threw yesterday and a cold front is approaching our mid-Atlantic.
Yes, the interesting bit though is that temperature at night, last nights was still 15C. Can’t wait for colder nights.

That was super fun. The D700 is so intuitive to use.
When a picture does not end up as desired, it is easy to identify what went wrong.

Using the Holga plastic lens was very relaxing, its claimed f8 is more f11, the manual focus is guess work but it perfomed better than I anticipated.
I did not worry about achieving perfection because of the limitations of the lens.
In many instances I had to go full manual, working the triangle.

My next goal is going to shoot with my e-series film lenses as often as possible.
I want to stay as close to film as possible, and the D700 allows me to do this, it is better at it than the D7200.

Fun fun fun.
Thank you all so much for organising this and giving your feedback.

Perfect ending photo. I agree the D700 is one of Nikon's best. It was such a remarkable release as first full frame small body from Nikon. The D3 sensor is legendary as your photos show this camera stand up fine after 10 years!
