What?!?!? You've used the 85 for a portrait! At last! LOL. I have lately come to the conclusion that the 85 can indeed be used effectively for environmental portraits, which you've exemplified here very nicely.
Went hiking today and found some orange fungi.
Great color contrast here.

Day 15

Working indoor most of the day. This is a ceiling lamp in my girl's room and I like the shadows on the wall. Now 85mm is definitely too long here. This was as far back as I could go and I would like to have more of the patterns on the wall.

Day 16

I hope you don't mind it's Yoda again. he was sitting by the window waiting for birds and I like the light on his fur.

Apologies for so many posts, too far behind and trying to catch up.

15 - cool lamp, cool shadows.

16 - Yoda is quite photogenic. Toss his shots in the ring whenever you need/ want IMHO. :D

Day 17

Today I went further from home and took a walk along the harbourfront boardwalk. There were many people today walking, jogging, walking dogs, and some are fishing. It started to feel autumn with cooler weather, but unfortunately today was a bit cloudy and grey.

Day 18

Early Sunday morning, guy waiting for bus.

Day 19

Sunny Bay. It was in the past a quite remote place on Lantau, our largest outlying Island, for storage of floating logs. The business was in decline some 20 years ago and now there are only a few villagers living there, and these are the only remaining floating huts. To reach the huts, you need to walk on the floating logs. It was in the morning and I am facing east and I think B&W is better suited for the backlighted scene.

Day 20

Another early morning street photo. I tend to wake up much more earlier than most people, but still there are already people working.

19 - cool shot, thanks for the background info on the subject.

20 - nice.

Day 21

Coming out from underground and going up an escalator, I saw lights coming from a window above and I thought it would make a nice image so I went down to take this photo. Not sure if it works.

Day 22

I noted the past few days were all B&W so I want to add some colours today.

Day 23

Came home late last night so I did the processing this morning.

We used to have gathering at a coffee shop every Friday night but it's suspended for over half a year because of COVID. Last night(Friday) we had a special gathering because one of the coffee buddies will be leaving and going to work in Beijing next week. CP is the head barista and I captured him when he took a break from brewing coffee.

LOL. I almost forget that it's a portrait lens.
