Most days I'm trying to learn something by doing this meme. Today I played with the new color grading feature in lightroom to post process this one. We don't have many leaves left, but this rose bush has a few.

Very delicate and great lighting. I will have to experiment with the grading feature. I tried it on my last post but it was a bit too severe moving the cursor around.
I started out the month with a photo of a rose still going strong. This month changed the landscape drastically. All the leaves are pretty much gone now and the colors have all faded. The roses have had a hard freeze and this one has an ice droplet on it. I'm always sad when the growing season ends.
Tomorrow I hope to get a photo of the kids in their costumes. So the theme should be much happier. It has been a very busy last few days. Hopefully I can catch up on everyone's posts tomorrow.

I did it!! Didn't miss a day all month.
Today we traveled to our daughter's home in Utah for Halloween. Trying to get three little boys, who are excited to go trick or treating, to stand still for a photo proved to be impossible. But, I will take what I can get. These types of images are the ones I always like best when looking back.

Also, we celebrated Crosby's 4th birthday today, even though it was a few days ago. He loved the new toy I bought him. So I'm ending up by breaking the rules and posting two images in one day. It was a fun month and I hope to look at everyone's final submissions as soon as I can. For now I will visit with my kids.

I'm going to add one extra photo in case anyone here has any information that they can share. My great grandmother died when my grandmother was nine. Grandma came from Kansas to Idaho and lived in a children's home. So, she didn't know much about her mother. Luckily she had this sewing book in her possession as well as some photos. We have done a lot of research to find out more about Mattie H. Willard. She was married and lived in Kansas so we assume K.S.A.C. is Kansas State Agricultural College. If anyone knows anything else about that I would love to hear what you know.
