May 1 - today is Labour Day holiday, and spring time is best for hiking. We went to Tung Ping Chau, the eastern most island of Hong Kong. This is the right time of the year to go there, because it's too hot in summer, and in winter, the wind would be very strong in that area which makes the boat trip very uncomfortable. The island was made up of sedimentary rock which is quite rare in Hong Kong, and it's part of the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark.

Keeping with social distancing, I'm using my old Nikkor 200mm f4 MF lens on my D750, for this meme. :)

Spring is certainly here, with rainy, cool to cold days, and the miniature weeping (cherry?) tree in our front yard blooming...

I'm shooting with my D850 and 16-35 f/4.0. It may be the first use this camera has seen since I got my Z6. Spring has sprung, so I went overboard around the back yard. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get out of town.

1. We have a great stand of silver dollar weed, a biennial that flowers every 2 years. Should be in bloom for 2-3 more weeks.

2. The English Walnut above it has not begun to leaf out, so it is always well lit.

5. Planted some hops in wine barrel halves several years ago to serve as a screen for the patio. These sprouted on time (April15) and are now over 18" tall!

She's got to find several things on the list and test if they float or sink.

Work done - Walk to the duck pond - sorry for not stopping down enough to get the flowers in focus.
I got to train more wide angle shooting.

Wow, looks like Spring in Idaho is ahead of this part of Virginia! What is your elevation there, Nick?
