Our Bosc pear tree has produced a lot of small fruit this year, but most of it is still firmly attached and out of reach. Normally the leaves will go from yellow to black/deep purple, but this year they have turned red. No great place to shoot this from.

Growing up, my parent's house had an Anjou tree, and my aunt next door had a Bartlett. I imagine that you & your better half will figure out something delicious once those become available!
We have 2-3 boxes of pears from this tree, and then there's the Bartlett in the back yard . . .
Both really great shots... can't wait to see the "keeper" for the day... catching up on my emails.

A bit later, walking on, more from the right, there's quite a bit going on in that Wetterhorn face.
In the deeper valley, where the sun won't shine for long, fog is building up.

We started slightly left of the center of the image, right under Wetterhorn's summit in the picture (the right peak of the left mointain), about under the left most of the 3 low snow fields. Gained hight, wide turn throught the woods, left, and up to this point, a ridge in no man's land
Back down..., towards gondula station.
Glad they made it so happy
