Thank you, Davidzvi, Phil, Ron and Andy! The bee kept moving around so thanks to shooting bursts I was lucky to capture him in a good position showing some of the flower, too, since the flowers were small and he was a big bee!
Thanks, Wade! I did do a little judicious cropping..... We finally had sunshine again this morning, which brought out the colors in the ornamental grasses plus their surroundings and of course since I was using that fast lens, figured I'd open her up all the way.
Thank you, Gordon, Ron and Eric! This is the kind of shot for which this lens is really designed and one of the reasons I bought it in the first place. I decided today would be a good time to showcase that creamy bokeh and the way in which this lens renders colors.
Thanks, John! I am SO glad I got myself out the door and doing some shooting this morning while it was still so nice outside. Yes, the weather conditions have certainly changed over the past few hours, haven't they? Earlier today I had doors and windows open and went out to shoot in a short-sleeved t-shirt and a pair of cropped pants.... The sun was coming in-and-out of clouds and all was well, at something like 77°. Now? Doors and windows shut, the temperature has dropped to low 60's and although the rain has stopped for the moment, looks as though there may still be more coming along. Well, that nice weather we had was great while it lasted!
