  1. Hey

Looking over my 24mm AFD lens I can't find a S/N. Was up with that?

Get out your magnifying glass. Look 180° from the aperture scale. it should be there, buied in basic black.

  3. Nope............. just the "Made in Japan".

    Any other hints?

About 180 degrees from "2.8" on the aperture scale, all the way on the bottom edge. Engraved black on black.

  5. Is it possible this # is not there? I used a magnifying glass and can't find it.

    Thanks

  6. John, it will be where DABO said it will be, below the knobby part of the
aperature ring and just above where the lens would contact the mounting
face of the camera. You have a 20mm, the 24mm and a 50mm, all of
which have serial numbers in the same place. Find where the number on any
of those lenses is and the others will in the same place.
I'm sure you are in for a big "aha" moment real soon.

Thanks, I finally located the #.
