24mm f2.8 for pano landscapes ?

I have found a newish 24mm F2.8. This lens is really 'tiny' and paired with a D70 looks like a reasonalbe small camera setup.

I know 24mm isn't exactly "wide" but it should be OK for many "quick" images and I'd also use it for "larger" Panos. Is there anyone here that has experience with this lens for panos and landscapes?

24mm f2.8D Nikkor

I have the subject lens and have used it quite extensively. I use it for all sorts of scenics. Haven't done much with panos but the two or three that I've tried looked okay. I just haven't been anywhere to use it for this since I went digital.
