Thanks Walter, today I downloaded the 30 day trial version of Capture One. 30 days provides plenty of time to watch the tutorials and work with files to see if this is the direction I choose to go.

@wrighton feel free to ask me any questions. I have used Capture One since 2014 or 2015 (v8.3). I was a long time Adobe user. Lightroom got too slow on macOS so I moved to Apple Aperture. Apple ceased development of Aperture in 2014 so I looked for something else. Lightroom was still too sluggish so I evaluated Capture One and am very happy with the product. It is so much more capable than Aperture and so much faster than Lightroom on macOS. I don't know whether you are a macOS or Windows user.

Capture One has excellent videos on their YouTube channel or at https://learn.captureone.com.

I have a YouTube channel where I post videos of my own to help Capture One users.

Apparently, Capture One now allows one to establish custom color profiles for each camera you shoot. I would not choose a raw processor that does not support this capability.

Explanations HERE....

PS CC seems to have "broken" the ability to automatically apply this as a preset during import...... UGH!

Perhaps I should explain.....I have created a custom color balance for each of my cameras, but in the drop down list to create a preset to be applied to my raw images, the custom camera profile does not show up. I can select it manually for each file I process, but I cannot have it applied automatically!!!!

In the Basic Characteristics tool, under the action (...) menu, there is a "Save as Defaults for <your camera>".

Do you have that option available? Have you tried it?
