Today I made some photos with the 18-35 on a tripod. I made them @ F32 and I'm not completely satisfied with the sharpness of the lens. But the DOF is great:smile:!

Great DOF, Rob. I have to try that with my 18-35 (which I dusted off yesterday for a visit of the NY Autoshow).

The first one doesn't look that sharp, but remember sharpness isn't everything. I don't think they need to be any sharper.

You may be getting some diffraction due the the very small aperture.

++1

just because you can stop down to F32 doesnt mean you should for certain scenarios.

F32 is very very small and you are losing edge detail with an aperture that small.
