The first one was a bit light and had glare over the eyes. Let me know what you think. The light was still harsh but I did the best I could.

In this plumage, this bird is never going to look classically beautiful. It's a punk look, so it kind of works to have a bit more edge to the photo. You handled the harsh light well. Keep shooting, its worth the effort. What a wild looking bird!

I really like this shot. The angle of the bird looking into the frame while difrent from the "norm" works very well. I did see the eye as a bit hot at first but with the intensity of the stare of the bird I think it works well in this shot. The background works well with the colors of the bird.
