Yea-- I tried on a couple shots but they were not up to what I would like toThe only thing missing from the pole vault series is the 'clearing the bar' shot and the landing. Nice shots.
That pole vault stuff looks like a blast to shoot, I have to give that a try if it ever stops raining here. Your son looks as though he is pushing his body on a day that it says, "NO!".
Great shots on the pole vault. I didn't go to our track meet today.
why?
rain,rain,rain..and then some more..rain.:frown:
Thank you Jim....I am starting to enjoy shooting track more and more.Great!! I'm trying to learn how to shoot soccer, made an absolute fool out of myself today attempting to shoot a baseball game, and now these excellent shots at a track meet from you have got my interest up to try that!!izzy:

Love the sequence, and you have a very handsome son there. Congratulations goes out to him.
Best Wishes,
I am not a big track fan but must admit it is fun to shoot.Hey Rod,
These are great. Between you and Jeff you guys have me tempted to find some track and field meets and get out there. Nice shooting!
Thanks Mark...Ya you have to be on your toes...I still have not gotten theNice action in these Rod , tough to catch I would imagine
Yep- there sure are a lot of kids walking / running around all the time.I think you did a good job with these. Certainly better than mine. Pole vaulting is one of the toughest events to photograph, IMO. In my case, if I catch the runner before, there's usually somebody walking behind. If I catch the vaulter going over the bar, there's a building or something in the background.
I'm only saying you got some very nice shots, and I can appreciate the fact that it is not an easy thing.
Thanks Mike. Fun for sure...Meets are looong but fun -if the weather is right.Very nice I think tracj woudl be fun to shoot with all types of options for angles and such
