Hey All -
Need thoughts or suggestions please -
I recently upgraded from a d300s to a d700. In order to get back some of the crop advantage, I picked up a Kenko Pro 300 1.4x to use in combination with my AFS 300mm f4. The lens was moderately fast alone. I used the combo fr the first time yesterday. It hunts quite a bit to lock AF. I can hear the AF motor try to tweak as I target a shot. Is this normal with this combo or is there a problem? My only tc experience is with a Canon 1.4x plus a Canon 70-200 and that was quick and sharp.
I am satisfied with pic IQ but the Nikon/Kenko remionds me of how the Sigma 100-300 worked...
Thx-Steve
