35mm 1.8 does eyes

  1. I took these just before I shipped my D90 back to Nikon.

    I tried to crop for affect on all but the middle one basically i got this lens to shoot wide open

    I think a got a sharp copy. you help me out here. :biggrin:

    all of these are OOC no Post sharp was done.

  3. That is about what I would expect at f1.8. You are working with a very thin DOF there.

    looks like an Xenon headlights on some high end cars... the eyes that is..

  11. just checking to see if my 35mm is as sharp as it looks to me plus my dogs eyes look kool. i'm sorry i'm not up to your standars but i will contuie to post my low standard stuff.

    I could not get the camera to focus on the eye like i wanted :rolleyes:  and could not MF because well hes a dog :tongue:

    Focus, soft pictures, and lenses mounting loose and F errors

    also it would freeze while shooting and not take frames for no reason......

    i also sent in the 35mm f1.8 (it was very loose on the D90 nikon said to send it they will check it but most likely nothing will need changed)

    and sent the 300 F4 since i got it used and its 5 years old, figured a check up would not hurt, plus it was having issues with the F-- error.
