4 of a kind

Discussion in 'Birds' started by Lou Buscher, Jun 1, 2007.

  1. Yup it will take a straight flush to beat these 4 aces. The Red Shoulders nesting here by my home in Willow. Now on their 5th. Year of nesting and the nest is rocking this year for sure.
Fledging 4 is rare as I have found out for this species of raptor so I am keeping my fingers X. Their complete nesting history is on my web on their own page. (Red Shoulders Nesting) www.loubuscher.com Any one wanting their call I have a WAV file I recorded with my camera and it’s pretty cool but to send I need your e-mail address. Mine is on my home page. Happy to share.

Beautiful Lou. I'm glad they're in your good hands and watchful eye as well.
  4. Thanks Peet I have a tree guard on their tree also to prevent raccoons from climbing up to the nest and I can and have trimmed away any bottom brush or small trees they could sneak by on.

It's a treat to be able to witness this with you Lou! Keep us updated.
  7. Yes they are Gale and I am having a good feeling about them all making it. Lot of work for the parents but they are up to it.
OK Now listen to this news. I got an email yesterday from a Falconer in Pa. that had lost his golden eagle last year and he just came back from Wyoming and he has a 4 year old male golden and I am invited to his training and maybe a hunt later. He is doing well on the creance line of 200 foot and is doing very well to the owners fist. Allright so now hear this, in all the US there is only 5 licenced Falconers to hunt with a Golden Eagle and I am invited to be with one. O Man I need extra Nitro Pills for the old ticker. I will be calling him in the morning. Wish me luck and thanks for the look at the little guys & gals.
  8. Thank you Andy and it is my pleasure to be able to bring it on the forum.
