400mm not just for birds..

    Very nice. I'll bet its a challenge to compose with such a large lens. Whats the min focusing distance? Any tubes?

    I like the second one best, the compsition is clean and the background isn't distracting. Did you have to use an extension tube to focus that close? I experimented with some similar shots with my 200-400 this weekend, but was using a 36mm tube to get the focusing distance close enough.

    thanks for looking.. the 400 will focuse down to about 6 feet or so.. maybe a little longer...I did these just to show that we don;t need to use our big glass for just birds or stuff far away...

    not so bad for a 100 buck lens
