500D on a 70-200mm

    I just received my 500D today. Bought it from a NikonCafe member. Thank you Gordon! :D :D :D

    I raced out to try it in the few minutes before the rain started again. My first impression was "I am going to need to practise with this!!" I was surprised at how shallow the DOF was. This is the only one worth while and I had to do quite a bit of sharpening on it.

    Pretty good example of what this combo is capable of Lin. I was out this afternoon shooting with this same combo. I'm not very experienced at macro photography, but I too was pleased with the results.

    I've seen what that combo can do...and I've seen your other work. I have no doubt that you'll be able to work it all out and have some shots you'll be BRAGGING about in no time. That said, this one is very nice for a first time shot w/new equipment. Keep up the good work.
