Did a little test at 2.8 today...leveled and sharpened a bit only.
Cool pics. Yes, the lens is brilliant. I'm always amazed by it.
Okay, you've borrowed it for long enough.
I kept waiting for the coffee can shots, but enuff's enuff and now it's time to give it back. :biggrin:
I do have a Nikon to EOS adapter. :wink:
Coffee cans coming soon....:biggrin::biggrin:
Yep, it looks like you got a good one.
Until you get your coffee cans set up, here are my staggered newsprint/cassette and bread crumb carton test shots taken with what is now your copy of the 70-200vr. https://www.nikoncafe.com/vforums/showpost.php?p=1081470&postcount=5 It really is a super sample.
It's interesting how much the sharpness can vary in different copies of the same lens. My 70-200 was just awful from f/2.8 to f/5.6. My 80-200 (two ring) blew it away. It wasn't even close. It was an easy decision to get rid of my 70-200, and keep the 80-200. It's a shame.
