70-200mm VR with 5T diopter

  1. Thanks to Jerry Snider I decided to try out the 5T diopter with my 70-200 VR. I think I'm going to like this set-up due to the added working distance compared to my Tamron 90mm. Here are a couple of examples, nothing to write home about but I feel like sharing.

BTW, does anyone have an opinion about the sqaure frames? I like them but don't want to over use the idea.

Nice photos. I especially like the color and the framing in the 2nd one. The square framing is good if it is not overused. Works well here for sure.
This lens combo allows a lot of freedom for composition doesn't it?

  4. Yes the 5T with the 70-200 does offer better control over the composition then a fixed length lens. In addition to this the combination results in tack sharp pictures as evidenced by Jerry's pollinator pics. For the price (approx. $47.00 plus an adapter $10.00) it's a great piece of gear.
