I'm on the verge of getting the above items, do they work well? I'll be getting the lens to work on D70s for sports, what can I expect with the addition of TC on the lens, will I still get acceptable bokeh ?

    Thank you
  2. I am getting good bokeh with this combo. But I do not have a ready sample for you right now.

  4. They work superbly well together, as do the 80-200 and the 2.0x Kenko.

Nice shots Nute. I think I may have to look into a tele converter for mine. This is with the push pull 80-200 2.8 Right? I tried to find info on what t.c. would work and had no luck.

  7. Hi Lim....

I use the Kenko 1.4x PRO300 DG TC with my 80-200 (2-ringer) and it works great. Still quick to focus and if anything it may give creamier Bokeh... You won't regret adding this TC to your kit....

Here a few I took last month....

    D80~80-200 + 1.4xTC @ 200mm (280mm with 1.4xTC), 1/640~f/2.8~EV0.0~ISO160

    D80~80-200 + 1.4xTC @ 200mm (280mm with 1.4xTC), 1/640~f/2.8~EV0.0~ISO560
    View attachment 107799

Even thou these are a little OOF, I still liked the shot...;o)) But its still fast enough to track a fast moving kart....
    D80~80-200 + 1.4xTC @ 185mm (260mm with 1.4xTC), 1/400~f/2.8~EV0.0~ISO125

BTW... great shots Nute..... Well done..
