80-400 VR gives me goose-bumps

  1. I know I can't ID that little bird but I can ID that it was well after sunset, with very low light and the 80-400VR (also know as the hunt too much or even never focus in low light) did an excellent job.

    Panos,

    That is a pretty unbelievable shot. Did that thing AF or was this manually focused?

    Don't know how you got a lock on it!

    Good shot Panos. Isn't that some sort of Sandpiper?
     
  5. Thanks Frank, yes it was AF single mode, and whenever I pressed the focus button it worked A OK!!!

    Thanks Steve, I have NO clue... The bird was sitting on the lagoons bank/edge and was "pinching" the sand... :shock: Does this make it a sandpiper, I dono... :-D
